2017 Plant Engineering Product of the Year & Control Engineering Engineers Choice Awards

Siemens Engineer Named an Engineering Leader Under 40

Nicholas Lang, who serves as a Manager of Advanced Technology at Siemens Norwood facility, was recognized as one of this year's Engineering Leaders Under 40 by Control Engineering and Plant Engineering. Class of 2017 Engineering Leaders Under 40 were recognized for their educational backgrounds, workplace contributions and their engineering community participation.

Lang earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He chose a career in engineering because he enjoys finding solutions to the world's problems. At Siemens, he has showed leadership in his role by leading a group of specialized engineering experts in implementing advanced computer simulation methods and 3D printing among other leading technologies. Additionally, Nick holds 16 U.S. patents in key engineering areas related to AC induction motors. For his efforts, he has twice been recognized for a U.S. Excellence Team award as well as a Divisional Top Team award. Nick is proficient in German, which further supports his ability to work globally and solve complex engineering problems at Siemens and beyond.

Siemens Products Earn Plant Engineering's Product of the Year awards

Two Process Industries and Drives products were named winners of Plant Engineering's 2017 Product of the Year awards. The winners were selected by Plant Engineering's readers from more than 100 entries. They reflect the new ideas to solve traditional problems, as well as innovations that will help better implement the new technology available today.

Control Engineering Engineer's Choice Awards

Two Process Industries and Drives products were recognized as winners of the 2018 Engineer's Choice Awards.
Automation professionals who are responsible for or influence technology purchases, or have hands-on day-to-day interaction with the technologies in each category, voted to identify the products they felt were the most exceptional based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact.
