Siemens gas chromatography products benefits from 50 years of experience in analytical systems for the chemical industry, as well as Applied Automation in refineries and the petrochemical industry. Since introduction, the technology, features and performance of MAXUM have been improved continuously with backwards compatibility. This strategy keeps MAXUM as up-to-date as a newly developed analyzer and therefore preserves your installed analyzer value.
In addition to the MAXUM airbath and airless ovens, Siemens now offers a modular oven design. It can be equipped with up to two modular ovens and up to two column trains per oven. The self-contained chromatograph modules simply need to be snapped into place. Modular replacement has never been easier or faster, dramatically lowering operation and maintenance costs as well as greatly minimizing downtime.
The high sensitivity TCD can detect components at and below a single ppm, application dependent. The intrinsically safe analyzer design is CSA rated for Cl. I, Div.1, Group A,B,C and can even be powered with 24 V DC.
The traditional airbath oven utilizes air for oven heating with a cost of more than $1,000 per year.
The Airless oven utilizes cartridge heaters embedded in the oven wall. Heating is achieved by conductivity and convection. In each MAXUM there are two isothermal airless ovens and each can accommodate two column trains with any of the detectors or valves. No air, less energy, no hot air disposal and quiet operation.
Smartness through the Measurement System
With the majority of variations and maintenance attributed to the sample system, it makes sense to make them smarter. Utilizing Pressure, Flow and Temperature sensors on the sample system and digitally connecting the devices to the analyzer permits monitoring and adjustments when necessary. The result is measurement data can be validated and maintenance is done when needed.
