The device family SIRIUS M200D offers two options – Basic and Standard – for AS-Interface, as well as a version for PROFIBUS and PROFINET respectively. SIRIUS M200D Motor Starters for AS-Interface
The M200D Basic and Standard motor starters for distributed drive technology are the low-cost devices from the SIRIUS motor starter family with a high degree of protection (IP65) and for communication via AS-Interface.
The M200D Basic motor starter is a sound investment. It allows for simple commissioning via local setting elements such as DIP switches or rotating potentiometers. In addition to that, it offers an extensive diagnostics concept, even with AS-Interface.

Flexible parameter assignment, extensive and precise diagnostic functions – these are only a few benefits of Totally Integrated Automation by Siemens (TIA). The SIRIUS M200D motor starter for PROFIBUS/PROFINET supports this idea. It offers even more functions, like e.g. the automatic parameter assignment in case of device replacement – or by using the commissioning software Motor Starter ES. What’s new is the data recording function (Trace) within this software, which allows for deep insights from the control system and increases the availability of the entire system. Preventive maintenance can be realized with the integrated maintenance timer. Thus, system downtimes will be prevented proactively.

Stopping conveyed goods exactly
Increase your productivity and conveyor throughput. The M200D motor starter's unique quick stop function enables you to stop conveyed goods exactly, and switches off the motor independently of the PLC.
All SIRIUS M200D motor starters have an integrated quick stop function on board. Thus, two conveyor belts can be easily coordinated, with low programming effort. This enables a substantial productivity increase and thus a higher throughput of conveyed goods.
Motor blocking protection
Rapid switch-off for mechanical blocking
Thanks to the M200D motor starter's motor blocking proection, your system will switch off quickly in the event of a mechanical blockage. If a tool becomes wedged in a conveyor belt, for example, then the motor starter recognizes the mechanical blockage and automatically turns your system off.
