In conjunction with Rutgers University, Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association, the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability and Siemens, offered a day of discovery and dialogue on the latest emerging topics, innovations and trends within the solar industry. In addition, there was opportunity for dialogue exchange on the extensive needs of manufacturers and developers of solar power.
Keynote speech was presented on The DOE SunShot Initiative: Science and Technology to enable Solar Electricity at Grid Parity, by Dr. Ramamoorthy Ramesh, Director of the SunShot Initiative and Solar Energy Technologies Program for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Finally, there was a tour over the Rutgers University, Livingston Campus 7 acre Solar Array.The 1.4 megawatt solar farm is one of the largest renewable energy systems on a single campus in the United States and generates approximately 11 percent of the electrical demand of the Livingston Campus.
