General Description

The GP100A Aluminum motors, with its precision die cast aluminum frame, bearings housing and bolt-on feet represent a major step forward in motor design innovation. These motors provide high structural strength through the use of finite element analysis to strategically place material within each component to resist the effects of stress and vibration. They weigh less than comparable rolled-steel frame motor designs, yet provide more structural strength for a wider variety of industrial applications. They are ideal in material handling, pump, fan compressors and other industrial applications. Siemens GP100A motors are available with a variety of QuikMOD modifications and kits.

Frame and End Shields

Die cast aluminum construction for exceptional heat dissipation and structural integrity. Maximum mounting flexibility assured with bolt-on feet. Condensation drain holes provided. Integrally cast lifting eyes. Unique frame fan design maximizes cooling. Its polycarbonate fan and fan cover, corrosion resistant hardware, epoxy enamel paint and aluminum nameplate resist corrosion.


Die cast copper or die cast aluminum rotor that meets or exceeds NEMA MG1 Table 12-12 efficiencies.

Each rotor assembly is dynamically balanced for extended bearing life, and includes a high strength carbon steel (C1045) shaft for maximum rotor performance.


This insulation system meets or exceeds NEMA MG1-2010, Part 31, making all motors suitable for operation with adjustable frequency drives. All windings are tested for CIV.
