FS230 Overview (Replacement for FUS1010, FUH1010)

The SITRANS FS230 digital clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter is a process-optimizing solution for measuring flow in virtually any liquid application. Designed to provide both exceptional performance and outstanding cost savings, the FS230 is an ideal fit for many industries requiring high-quality liquid flow measurement.

The SITRANS FS230 flow system consists of a SITRANS FST030 transmitter paired with SITRANS FSS200 clamp-on ultrasonic sensors, which are available in three different versions: WideBeam® (High-Precision), Universal and High-Temperature.

Application examples include water and wastewater, HVAC and power, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, mining and pulp and paper.

FST030 wall-mount or pipe mount transmitter

The SITRANS FST030 is designed in an IP67/NEMA 4X aluminum enclosure with corrosion resistant coating. It can be wall or pipe mounted and locked with a padlock or wired with lead security seals. The transmitter has a modular design with discrete, replaceable electronic modules and connection boards to maintain separation between functions and facilitate field service.

The FST030 delivers true multi-parameter measurements ie. standard volume flow, density, mass flow, fluid sound velocity and temperature.

FSS200 sensors

Ultrasonic sensors transmit and receive acoustic signals directly through existing pipe walls. To cover the widest possible range of applications, Siemens offers 3 different type of clamp-on ultrasonic sensors: WideBeam® (High precision), Universal and High Temperature. WideBeam® produces a strong, focused signal that optimizes the signal-to-noise ratio, reduces sensitivity to changes in temperature, density or viscosity.

FSS200 clamp-on ultrasonic sensors are easy to install and require virtually no maintenance since they never come in contact with the process fluid.
