SIRIUS 3RB24 Overload Relay: Plant Engineering 2011 Product of the Year Winner

The Sirius 3RB24 electronic overload relay is part of the new SIRIUS Innovations Power and Control products from Siemens. It provides overload protection for motors up to 630 amps.

The two piece design consisting of an electronic base unit and a separate current measuring module makes it versatile for almost any size motor application. It reduces maintenance costs by requiring to stock one electronic base module for all motors regardless of the size. IO-Link implements a point to point connection between a Master module and up to 4 devices (ex. 3RB24). When compared to typical fieldbus overload relays, the 3RB24 with IO-Link is much simpler to configure while providing full control, measured values and diagnostics including overload, ground fault tripping, thermistor protection and actual motor current.
